West Jersey Youth Ballet offers two competition teams for the 2026-2027 season.

 

Elevate is a ballet- and contemporary-focused team. Dancers have the opportunity to learn classical ballet variations and contemporary solos to participate in competitions and conventions throughout the year. We attend high-level ballet competitions, such as Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), Universal Ballet Competition (UBC), and National Ballet Competition. This team involves a high level of commitment from the family, including out-of-state travel.

Ignite is a multi-genre local competition team, where dancers can compete in jazz, contemporary, ballet, lyrical, musical theater, tap, or any other style of dance taught by West Jersey Youth Ballet. Competitions may include True Talent, DECAdance, New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA). and more. These high-energy competitions are a lot of fun for dancers and great way to explore competitive dance.

 

Dancers on either team may compete in solos, groups, duets, and trios.
