Instructor: Lisa Dennison

Lisa Dennison is a local artist with a deep passion for teaching and creative exploration. She discovered her love of painting while recovering from an injury, teaching herself through online tutorials to nurture her newfound talent. Her work and instruction are inspired by artists such as JM Lisondra and Angela Anderson. Lisa finds her greatest joy in working with children of all ages, guiding them as they explore color, texture, and design. She delights in seeing each student’s individuality shine—even within structured lessons—and encourages confidence and self-expression through art. With a strong interest in science, Lisa thoughtfully incorporates scientific concepts into her classes whenever applicable. She is also fascinated by art history, believing that art reflects the ideas and perspectives of its time. Exploring different techniques and styles across historical periods is one of her favorite ways to inspire young artists.
