Fees for the examination are included in the annual tuition. Students are expected to participate in examinations, but not required, and in some cases, a student may not be ready for the next level examination for 2 years.

Acrobatic Arts

Our Upside Down classes incorporate the Acrobatic Arts â€‹curriculum, led by module one certified instructor Kristen Klein.

AcroDance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context.

Acrobatic Arts offers a comprehensive training program to safely teach AcroDance. The curriculum covers anatomy, technique, progressions, lesson planning, choreography, and more. Dancers who train through Acrobatic Arts have balanced development, are stronger, more flexible and fearless.

In addition to classes, we also offer private and semi-private lessons; please email admin@westjerseyyouthballet.com for more info.

Ready, Set, Dance!

Ready, Set, Dance classes are carefully structured to include warm-ups, skill-building exercises, choreography practice, and cool-downs, ensuring a well-rounded experience for each child.

Through our multilevel curriculum of various dance styles, Ready Set Dance promotes the three Cs; Confidence, Coordination, and Creativity. Children develop muscle strength, control, improved balance and achieve coordination milestones.

We offer Ready, Set, Move with Me for our youngest dancers with caregiver (ages 1-3), and Ready, Set, Acro for an introduction to acrobatics for ages 3-5.
